Rustic Desk, with Half Shelf & Steel Hairpin Legs

DESCRIPTION

This beautiful piece of furniture has been handcrafted by myself. The rustic surface, used alongside the steel hairpin legs gives it an unmistakable contemporary/ rustic feel.
The surface has been fashioned out of reclaimed wood, sanded (three times) to a smooth finish, before being coated in your choice of finish.

There is a shelf to the rear of the desk which is perfect for a slim computer monitor, cups, mobile phones, or other items.
The surface comes complete with scrapes, knots, indentations & discolourations, which all help to tell the story of its previous life. These imperfections add to the character of the table, which helps to make it totally unique.
NOTE - The item in the photo may not be the exact item you receive. It'll be made to your chosen dimensions, however, due to each boards wood grain being totally unique, the table top itself will vary slightly. Please bare this in mind when placing your order.
Everything I make is handmade, so every piece is truly unique. Special care is taken in the preparation & overall look of the finished product.

SHELF

The desk comes with a half shelf to the rear of the desk. This shelf is crafted from reclaimed wood & coated in the same finish as the desk.

SHELF DIMENSIONS

The shelf will be half the length of the desk, so:
- If your desk is 160cm in length, the shelf will be 80cm long.
- If your desk is 80cm in length, the shelf will be 40cm long.
The shelf is 11cm in depth (front to back) & 3.5cm in thickness.
The distance between the table top & underside of the shelf is 12cm.

SHELF SUPPORTS

Each shelf is supported by two copper pipe stands. The stands are crafted from 22mm copper pipe. The pipe is secured to two black cast iron end plates, via two brass couplings.
I can make the shelf supports using copper pipe (rose gold colour), or chrome coated copper pipe (silver colour).
The end plates can be either black cast iron, or silver aluminium.

LEGS

The table is complimented with 4 x 71cm/ 28 inch steel hairpin legs, which are crafted from high quality, powder coated steel.
These legs are incredibly strong & are more than capable of supporting any sized desk / table.
Each leg comes complete with feet protectors, which protect your floor from getting scratched.

Each desk/ table comes with 'bare steel' coloured table legs.
If you'd prefer an alternative colour, ie, black, polished copper, brass, chrome etc, let me know. These will be more expensive. Their price depends on the availability.
Note - This will add another 7-10 days to the length of time it'll take to complete your order.

NOTE - Copper does start to naturally discolour over time (Oxidation). Once it starts to discolour it gives the bracket a gorgeous industrial look.
If however you'd prefer to maintain the rose gold finish, polishing with brasso, or something similar once or twice a month will stave off the oxidation process.

Free delivery for all items on my website.
I aim to get all orders completed within 1-2 weeks, however this isn't my main job, so it all depends on my days off (& the weather 😤). I'll keep you updated with your orders progress.
Each desk/ table is supplied flat packed. The screw holes for the hairpin legs are pre-drilled, so these can be assembled in a matter of minutes. (You'll need a screwdriver)
